Frequent Asked Questions

🌱 How are you different from a Fertility Coach?

While some aspects of what I offer may look similar to a fertility coach, like emotional support and treatment guidance, I approach things differently. I’m a registered nurse with over a decade of deep clinical experience in fertility care, and I combine that with lived experience as an IVF parent.

I don’t believe someone can be coached to be more fertile. What I do believe in is walking alongside you with empathy, helping you understand your options, prepare for treatment, and feel emotionally supported every step of the way. My care is grounded in medical knowledge, but always centered around you as a whole person, not just a patient.

💬 What’s the difference between your support and what I get from my fertility clinic?

Fertility clinics are essential for medical treatment, but emotional support often gets left behind. If you’ve ever felt like no one’s really listening, that you can never get your questions answered, or that you’re just another number in a busy system… you’re not imagining it.

That’s where I come in. I don’t replace your clinic. I supplement it. I offer the kind of compassionate, personalized support that most clinics simply don’t have the time or structure to provide. I help you process information, prepare for appointments, understand your options, and navigate the emotional weight of it all with someone who’s been there.

It’s not just about the plan. It’s about how you feel living through it. And you deserve to feel seen and supported through every step.

💡 Who do you typically work with?

I work with individuals and couples who:

  • Have been trying to conceive for 6–12 months or longer

  • Are considering or undergoing treatments like IUI, IVF, or donor-assisted conception

  • Feel overwhelmed, confused, or emotionally unsupported in the fertility process

  • Crave clarity, connection, and personalized guidance

💻 Are your services virtual?

Yes, all of my services are offered virtually. You can access support from anywhere in the U.S., on your schedule, without needing to travel or sit in a waiting room.

🗣️ What kinds of things can we talk about in a 1:1 session?

These sessions are tailored to you. We might:

  • Review your treatment plan or test results

  • Prep for a fertility consult or procedure

  • Talk through decision-making around next steps

  • Process emotions like grief, fear, or hope

  • Map out practical strategies for coping or advocating for yourself

💸 Do you accept insurance?

No, I don’t accept insurance, but many clients use HSA/FSA funds. I can provide an itemized receipt upon request for you to submit for possible reimbursement (depending on your plan).

🕰 What’s your availability like?

I offer flexible weekday appointment times, with some evening availability depending on the week.

When it comes to messaging support, I’m here when it matters most. While I can’t promise 24/7 responses (since I do sleep 😴), I do my best to be available during the times fertility stress often shows up — weekdays, evenings, weekends, and even holidays. You’ll never feel like you’re shouting into the void. You can message me as things come up, and I’ll respond as soon as I’m able, usually within a few hours, often sooner.

I’m based in the Central Time Zone, but I support clients across the country.

🧡 I’m feeling really anxious and overwhelmed. Is this the right kind of support?

Yes. That’s exactly who I support. If you’re feeling lost in Google searches or drowning in decisions, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to do this alone. Let’s talk and figure out what support might feel most helpful right now. You can schedule your free support call here and we can discuss if it feels like a good fit!

❓Isn’t this just therapy? Wouldn’t I be better off working with a therapist?

That’s a great question and an important one. Therapy is an incredibly valuable tool and often a beautiful complement to my work.

As a Fertility Doula and Registered Nurse with over a decade in the fertility space, I provide a unique kind of support that blends clinical insight, emotional guidance, and real-time decision-making help. I’m in the weeds with you:

  • Explaining your protocol in plain language

  • Helping you prepare for appointments and ask better questions

  • Supporting you during med start, delays, or cycle changes

  • Helping you feel steady in the chaos of treatment without needing to unpack your entire past

Think of me as your emotional anchor and clinical translator. I’m not your therapist, but I’m someone who truly understands the medical process and how it feels to live through it.

In fact, many of my clients see both a therapist and me. I help fill the gap between rushed medical care and the deep emotional experience of trying to build a family.
